P.T.K. WOOD white oak plywoods are made from plywood covered with natural oak veneer on one side. Both crown cut and straight line (quarter cut) pattern are available. As the veneer is natural, each piece of wood has a different unique pattern. white oak wood veneer has a light greyish tone, which make them suitable for customers who prefer light, bright, clean color decoration style.

TISI 178-2549 Commercial Plywood

TISI plywood are plywood that has been through the production and testing process according to Thailand industrial standards TIS 178-2549 by the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry in terms of properties such as width (mm), length (mm), thickness (mm), moisture, strength, glue adhesion, etc.

TISI plywood is divided into 4 catagories according to the glue used in production as follow:

Exterior plywood – Use an adhesive that is resistant to weather, cold water, boiling water, steam and dry heat. This type of plywoods are suitable for outdoor use or when the woods are exposed to water or high moisture.
Moisture resistant plywood – Uses an adhesive that is resistant to weather, cold water, boiling water, and steam for a limited time. This plywood are suitable for indoor and outdoor use or when plywoods are occasionally exposed to water or high moisture content.
Interior plywood – use a mildly water resistant glue. This plywood is durable in hot water For a limited time, but cannot tolerate boiling water. They are suitable for indoor use or in location that are not exposed to water or high moisture.
Temporary use plywood – use cold water resistant glue for a limited time. Suitable for temporary use. Example of this type of plywood include plywoods used in construction site.

In addition, each type of TISI plywood is also divided into 4 quality layers according to the characteristics of the face and back veneer used. For example, 2/4 grade means the face veneer is grade 2 and back veneer is grade 4.
Grade 1 is the most beautiful face and free from defect is suitable for work that need to showcase the actual wood surface while Grade 4 allows for more natural defects such as knots and wood discoloration.

Veneered MDF

MDF Board or Medium-Density Fiberboard is a type of engineered wood product that is produced by breaking down wood residuals into wood fibers and forming them with glue into panel by applying high tempearture and pressure. MDF wood is denser, finer and smoother than particle wood, yet the strength of MDF is less of commercial plywoods. MDF in the market are sold mostly as interior grade and are not suitable for usage in high humidity area.

PTK Wood produces veneered MDF board with different type of face and back veneer, ranging from natural teak veneer, reconstituted teak veneer to different type of tropical veneers.

Applications:

Veneered MDF is an afforadble, yet beautiful alternative to fancy plywoods. It is commonly used in furniture making to reduce production cost.
Use for interior decoration such as partition walls and doors
Use for making souvenirs and different DIY item.
Unless waterproof grade (green) MDF is used, MDF is not suitable for external use or areas with high moisture content.
