P.T.K. WOOD Responsibility to Environment and Community
P.T.K. WOOD is committed to responsible wood utilization program in which we try to minimize product wastage during production, maximize recycling of waste products and implement a pollution control program. 100% of core veneers used in our productions are sourced from plantation timber. We are also actively undertaken plantation activities in Thailand to help preserve forest for future generation.
We are committed to building a happy and clean working environment for our production staffs and nearby community. To do this, we have established a “Green Factory Project” where we keep the area within the factory and the surrounded community clean and free from pollution. We also set up a “White Factory Project” with Thailand local authority to create a drug-free community. In addition, scholarships are given to the children of staff every academic year.
As one of our core values, we put great emphasis in being an environmentally responsible manufacturer and supplier. To show our commitment, P.T.K. WOOD participates with Global Forestry Services (GFS) in their Wood Tracking Chain of Custody Program. The GFS Wood Tracking Program provides part of the due diligence systems required to address international legal regulations regarding the trade of timber and wood products such as the EUTR, USA Lacey Act, Australian Bill on illegal logging and Japan Green Purchasing Act.
